The Murray 200/100/Relay is South Australia’s premier long distance canoe marathon for all craft.
Both competitive and recreational classes are available for the full distance (208km), the 100km distance and for relay teams over the full race distance.
The event takes place over the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend in June paddling from Berri to Morgan.
Three race distance options are available.
The Murray 200 completes the full course from Martins Bend, just up stream of Berri, to Morgan (208km). There is a portage on each day of the M200.
The Murray 100 shares the finish line with the Murray 200 paddlers, with staged starts occurring latter in the day along each leg of the 200 course.
The relay course paddles the full distance with checkpoints along the course for changeovers. Average relay leg is approximately 20km with the longest being 30km.

Our operational centre and command caravan base for this event is at Waikerie.
We use two repeaters to cover the entire course over the three days. One of the repeaters has to be moved each day as the canoeists travel from Berri, to Morgan.
We maintain a database (excel spreadsheet) which stores the login and logout times of each canoe as they arrive and leave checkpoints and the allocated campsite each night.
