AdVenture Expo

Event details

An annual event for the Venturer Scout section when they can meet, socialise and interact with the various Scouting activity teams such as the Canoe, Climbing, Sailing, Caving, and of course the Radio Activities section - SRAG smiley

It is held early in February on a Friday evening at the Glenelg AdVenturous Activities Centre.

If the weather is suitable the Venturers (and Leaders) can try canoeing, geocaching, and wander along the AdVenture triail... and more.

SRAG Participation

We provide an activity for the Venturers to do. Usually battleships. But instead of just sitting opposite each other at a table, the participants take a radio each and go outside the hall, out of site of each other, and play their moves over the radios.

We also introduce Amateur Radio and explain how an License can be obtained - we run courses of instruction and assessment for the Amateur Radio Foundation Licence.
